Nothing's lost forever. In this world, there's a kind of painful progress, longing for what we've left behind, and dreaming ahead. At least I think that's so. -- from Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, Part Two, Perestroika, by Tony Kushner

Boarding any minute now. Looks like we'll actually be walking across the tarmac.
Ah. Made it to Kilmainham after all, tho the museum part was closed by time we got there.
Exhausted. But I've touched the GPO. Didn't make it to Kilmainham Gaol though.
Walked in the a.m., searching rather in vain for a Catholic church. The one we wanted had been turned into a nightclub.
Back to hotel in pouring rain. Did I mention that it rains a lot in Ireland? Good thing I'm contentedly drunk.
Walked around Westport all morning. Now @ train station for 4hr ride to Dublin. Lunch packed, ready for when they let us board.
Arrived back in Westport. 5 hrs 40 min, but that includes the stop for lunch in Tuar Mhic Eadaigh. Odometer died at 62.97 km.
Leaving cute little Cong. Long ride ahead back to Westport. 60 km or so.
Arrived Nymphsfield House. Screeb to Cong 41.1 km in 3 hours 02 min.
Dinner at Derryclare Restaurant, now at Guys for a nightcap & coffee. Never want to leave Clifden.
